Child Labour is Child Abuse
The International Labour Organisation launched the World Day Against Child Labour on June 12th, 2002 and since then every year June 12th is earmarked as World Day Against Child Labour.
To commemorate this day, a beautiful assembly was put up by the primary students wherein they prayed for the millions of children who are physically and mentally abused and deprived of their childhood. They enumerated the significance of the day and the role played by the International Labour Organisation in eradicating the social evil.
Our Principal, Sr. Rosevera in her message congratulated the students on their well prepared assembly and advised the students to help in eradicating the social evil by teaching and sharing their old books with children of labourers near their homes, domestic helps, vegetable vendors etc. Her closing statement was All children deserve a childhood. Help the needy by stopping the greedy.
