A concatenation of programs was organized for the teaching fraternity from 29th May 2023 to 31st May 2023 before the commencement of the new academic year 2023-24. The purpose of the program was to herald the staff towards the new beginning equipped with effective teaching and learning practices.

The session began on 29th May with a prayer meeting led by Sr. Vinitha , the vice principal, and Sr. Bedsy entreating God's blessings on the new academic year. Sr. Rosevera, the principal, welcomed the teachers and congratulated and appreciated them for their resilience and perseverance in training the students in attaining good results. Sister, in her message, extended her gratitude towards the staff members who diligently rendered their services and retired. She also introduced and welcomed the new staff members.Sister addressed the significant aspects of learning, teaching and growing. She reiterated the duties of class teacher and implored the teachers to be more compassionate and understanding.

Sr. Celine Vera, the Joint Secretary of Mary ImmaculateInstitutions, welcomed the teachers and congratulated them on the wonderful result. She enumerated the importance of teachers working as collaborators for the betterment of students and the school.

Sr. Clare, the School Administrator, led a session on the 153 years of journey of the Apollo Carmel Congregation in the field of education. She spoke about the foundress, Mother Veronica and the two stalwarts, Mother Marie Des Anges and Mother Aloysia, through their sheer determination and versatile nature laid the foundation stone for education specially of the girl child. She led a session on the Vision and Mission of the Carmel Congregation and signified the identity of an Apostolic Carmel teacher. Sister propounded, that a teacher must bring about a flicker of creativity, compound emotional competencies, develop faith and responsibility towards the society in a student. She complemented all the teachers for the wonderful result and emphasized on the need for creativity and appreciation to engage the students.

Rev. Fr. Anil Joel Prasad, hailing from Bidar, was the resource person. Father was introduced by the principal as a motivational speaker and has rendered his services as a teacher and principal in diocesan schools. "Profession of teaching: a blessing filled with challenges" was the topic covered by Fr. Anil. Father, through numerous witty anecdotes, proposed the teachers to convert their challenges into blessings and be an example to the students entrusted in our care. Father demystified the mantra of becoming a Sadhguru rather than a Guru. He further reiterated the importance of upgrading our knowledge and teamwork. The session was power packed with various brainstorming games and team activities, which made the session fun filled and interactive.

Mrs. Monica Jennifer proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating the trainer for the wonderful session.
